“Aiming to disrupt our visually overloaded everyday life, this book series of cyanotypes are meant to be experienced with a broader repertoire of our senses. Cyanotypes are made with a simple photographic technique that does not require any other accessories than emulsion, UV-light and a surface. These, made on tracing paper, become transparent and, unlike most two-dimensional works, turns the back of the image visible. Encouraging the viewer to interact with the book, with no other information than the objects technical origin, the work insist on slowing down the viewer’s attention and switching from merely receiving impressions to creating them themselves by starting to define its appearance.” - exhibition text, KODE 2 Bergen, 2020.
